    Shed time
So both my Corn and my Ball decided to shed.

The corn shed perfectly. (I accidentally broke the shed while taking it out of the tank... RIP)

While the ball python shed in pieces. Both have the same pre-shed humidity (80%). And I even gave Cookie a bath just before he shed to increase the moisture. And stiiiiilll it didn't come off in a solid skin.

Though no issues with the eye caps or anything. Still would have been nice to have a full skin to show you guys. :(

But I put the humidity back down.

If you didn't get one piece then you should keep the humidity for the BP higher than you have been. It is obviously just a tad low and that is hard to fix at the first signs of a shed.

Huh. It works for some when you start seeing the eyes glaze over. 80%-90% is the recommended, right? It's at room humidity (40-50%) which is suggested to be comfortable and multiple people have suggested before that room humidity is fine as long as during shed you boost it up a bit?

He doesn't have any stuck shed. But...

Is it normal for a BP to have a thin shed? I noticed the corn's shed was thicker, and tougher to tear.

Cookie has always had this kind of shed. And the two hides I have for him don't have much in the way of something to scratch the shed off so it might be more difficult for him to get it off in one piece anyways.

Oddly enough I always up the spraying AFTER the eyes clear up - 100% success rate .
