    Is Alebrije too skinny? I just started him on medium rats. He seems constantly interested in food but I only feed him once a week. He doesnt have that super fat tail that I see on a lot of bigger ball pythons. He is under a year old still but I'm wondering if I should up his intake to maybe every five days or something?     It didn't appear skinny to me but that pic is not the best to judge from.

    It is possible to have a fat snake, which is not good.

    To gauge a snake the snake needs to be at rest on a flat surface, preferably stretch out (or at least uncoiled), anyone can make a spine stick out by holding a juvy in that position.
