Safe to Eat? - Feeder rat with stomach abrasion (pics linked)
I bought a rat today and noticed a weird tumour/abrasion on the skin. Is this safe for feeding? I read that feeding rats which had cancer was fine, but I can't seem figure out what this wound is. Does anyone have any ideas, or is it unimportant?

Up to you, but I wouldn't feed it. When in doubt, throw it out.

I personally wouldn't feed it to my snakes.

Thanks guys. I'm probably gonna end up throwing it out.

I wonder what's wrong with it though? It looks almost like a zit that's popped or something. I was googling more pictures and it looks like an infected abcess on the rat's back. Would that harm a snake?

I couldn't tell whether it is a male or female or what the possible age is. If female, the problem could be a torn-open mammary tumor. Especially if it came out of a cage holding multiple rats that fight.

    Looks good
I'd eat it. Wouldn't feed it to the snakes but that's good meat there
