Did I feed my BP too large of a meal?
I have a BP that weighed in at about 330 last week after her shed. She has been getting quite large, and she had been taking 20g mice about every 5 days. I wanted to move her up a meal size as she is probably at about 350 after her last meal earlier last week. I decided to try what the pet store would call a "small rat." It was definitely smaller than she is around, but was unsure of the weight because the battery just so happened to run out before I had the opportunity to weigh it last night. She ended up taking it like a champ, and was fine when I checked on her today. I was able to replace the battery today and weigh one of the other rats that came in the bag, and come to find out this one rat was 60g. The other would have at least been 50g. Are there any ramifications from feeding her such a heavy meal? As I said, she took it fairly quickly and kept it down. She was also fine when I checked on her this afternoon. She is purely a pet, and I have no plans of breeding.

If you use the 15% rule that some stand by then if she is 350 then her meal would weigh 52.5g nominally. The girth method is also an indicator. Here is a chart that is one by Jkobylka and one that floats around here... I think the list that is labeled from Justin and the ebb list show they are very similar in data...

If she got it down without difficulty, it wasn't too big. [emoji846]
