What type of Salamander is this?
I was given this guy today with his setup. Going to upgrade hime to a bigger setup and change him to better bedding. What which type of Salamander is he? Thanks in advance.

Yup, tiger salamander. They really need a good substrate to burry into. I used regular old topsoil with mine. They weren't visible too often but would come bursting forth from the earth at food so still great fun to keep. I'm sure you could set up a tank that'd make them feel secure and still offer decent viewing opportunities.
