Banana / CG Male / Female Maker?
Can anyone help me here. I know it's an old thread but I have a male banana. Not sure what the parents were as it was a Craigslist find. Great deal can with a ton of stuff and the snake was kinda thrown in. Now I might want to breed him, but would I get all male bananas? Also, ore coral glow and banana the same gene?

Likely a male maker, most male found on the market are male makers female maker command higher prices and are a bit harder to come around.

If male maker all Banana, or CG offspring will be males while the rest of the clutch will be female and the opposite if the Banana or CG is a female maker, of course there are exceptions and every now and than a male maker may produce a female and vice versa.

    Now the next question
Is cg and banana the same gene? This is very interesting to me.

So so let's say I get a female banana that thows females and breed it to the male that thows males, what happens then?

They are the same gene both original animals were imported around the same time and went to 2 different breeders.

Females do not work like males, females produce both males and females.

The males produced from a female are female maker, the males produced from a male are male makers.

female banana do not throw female. They throw normal sex ratios and yes CG and banana are different lines of the Same gene
It will depend on who the babies get the banana gene from on what they would throw

    Interesting.
Ok here's another question, so if I breed him next season to two or three different girls I should know what marker he has? Correct? I was never really into the banana gene, are the babies easy sells even if they are males?

Yes and no. Male banana sell but they have really been over produced so their value isn't what it was
