    thermostat question
I have a 55 gallon tank that I need for my 2 BPs, Striker and Boe. I need 3 feet of Thermo-Tape to heat it up. I want to know~~~Do i need more than 1 thermostat to keep all 3 feet of thermo tape warm?

Here's my opinion, for what it's worth. I think you need two cages, but I'm sure you've heard that before. But to answer your specific question, as long as all 3 feet of your heating element are attached to one cord - you'll only need on thermostat.

I second what Christie said :)

You would need another thermostat if you were running two different heating elements....i.e. 3" heat tape on one enclosure...11" heat tape on the other :) But if it is all one piece or two exactly identical pieces, there should be no problem.

Isn't three feet a little long for a 55g tank? I only say that because I don't know how you would be able to have much of a cool-side, with 2 cool hides (since yer keeping 2 snakes in there, what if they both want a cool hide...) In my 55g BP tank, my undertank heater is roughly 1 square foot, and that is plenty big for my one adult BP. You might want something a bit wider (front to back) for 2 BPs though.
