    Sneaky eating weird
Sneaky our black pastel has always been a climber so we made him a PVC pipe across his tank. I set the rat on top of his hide like usual. Instead of coming down he just grabbed the rat by the head and proceeded to eat, he never came down off his perch. First time I've ever seen him do this

I wouldn't worry too much, my phantom bp has eaten in a similar position without ill effect. At least yours ate inside the vivarium mines been known to strangle and eat hanging out of the vivarium.

How do you have the perch mounted? Just like you would a closet rod? Doing some planning while I wait for my T25

We took two plastic shower rod holders and screwed them in the center to each side of the tank, then we cut a piece of pvc pipe to size. We then applied some of the sealant that came with the T10 tank.

This was done before we sealed the tank.
