Should I still get a UTH?
Recently I ordered my T12 from Animal Plastics with a RHP from Pro Products (the wait is killing me lol). According to Ali, she was saying that I would be fine with a RHP as my only heat source since my ambient room temps are a bit on the high side (75-78) in my current home. I've heard of RHP's used and recommended as the only heat source with no problems but I've also heard that belly heat is absolutely needed because it helps with digestion? Originally I was intending on getting both but decided to go with Ali's suggestion and held off on the UTH for the time being.

So my question is, if I'm generally having 76+ ambient room temps am I fine with just the RHP for now? Or should I still get one?

You will not know until you have your enclosure. Belly heat is highly recommended, but I know people who just have ambient air at 85-88 degrees with no heat and no problems

    Not in mine
I'm running a Rhp in a t8 with no belly heat. My temps on hot and cool side have been perfect since day one. It's been going 9 months now.
