She is not black pastel and not het red axanthic. She would be considered a normal until proven differently

First photo is a black pastel
And second photo is a hra for comparisonhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...82059bb31c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1ce816cba6.jpg

That is definitely not a normal. It sure looks like a VPI Axanthic to me... Gorgeous snake, though!

Definitely doesn't look like a normal however because it was bought as a normal and is unproven it should be labeled normal until proven differently

Ok, so I'm still very new to the morphs out there these days and eager to learn since getting back into the hobby.

Can somebody explain how a het red axanthic is identified visually?
Why can HRA be identified visually, but a het pied, for example, can not be identified visually and can only be proven out through breeding?

    Thanks...

Het red axanthic is a codom gene with a super form
    Piebald is recessive
Corey woods whom bred the first red axanthic named it and while confusing it was his to name. Personally I feel it should be red axanthic and super red axanthic
To identify a het red axanthic look at color. And pattern they differ from normal. Plus het reds have a searous attitude ( they tend to grow out of this)

Ok, thank you. And I agree with your thoughts of red/super red axanthic, seems to make more sense.
Is this the only example of a visual het?
