    20g long
Just wondering if a 20g long is to big for a hatching and if not how long can he be in there before upgrading?

It's honestly less a matter of "too big" and more if you can provide enough hides, fake leaves, cover, and overall a "secure feeling" for a baby bp. Hatchlings not only don't like open space, but they need to find spots where they're 100% hidden and curled up in small tight spaces, in order to feel safe enough to eat.

It's also dialing in your temps and humidity correctly, which is harder in a glass tank. The reason people use plastic tubs for snakes isn't just to be cheap, it's because plastic holds heat and humidity much better.

What can I get plastic wise that doesn't cost $100+ dollars. Size and what not. I've kept reptiles before, just never a bp or anything in plastic. I'm not worried about hides and stuff. Maybe just setting up the uth and thermostat to it.

Sterilite tubs, under $10, the ones from target. If you want to start out with just a 15qt to get the feel of how a bp feels secure or not, I'd do that.

Here's a guide I followed when I started out when I was confused about UTH and thermostat, but this size and sizing of hides is for larger bp's https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...e-Basics-*DUW*
