New possible SSTP - good looking ?
Hello. I Need your advice. I could get this Sumatran shorttatil boy. Seller says he is farm bred and one year old. First - Is this a Chrome head SSTP ? Are there any Problems with farm bred snakes - would a captive bred be better ?
Second - is this a appropriate size for a one year old male - does he look healthy ?

Thanks a lot for your help.....

    Hi Marckitt,
Yes, that is what is considered to be a Chrome Head. He looks perfectly healthy to me as far as his weight, size and skin goes. I have never dealt with any captive farmed snakes, but it's my understanding that they can potentially have a lot of issues just like wild caught. My advice would be to go with a captive bred animal.

Here is an article I found, which explains wild caught vs captive farmed vs captive bred:

    Thank you very much.
So I could get one of these two males too. They are captive bred by a good breeder. I'm searching for a real nice dark male. I know that they will darken with age but maybe looking at these two boys you could give me an advice which one to take......
Both are black heads - am I right ?
