Using old substrate when changing enclosure
Once my T8 gets here I will be moving my BP over to it and wondered if using the newspaper that is in his tub at the time would help transitioning him? My thinking is the paper he would be on will already have a familiar sent to him making it less stressful of a change. Will that help or will the new enclosure override the sent?

I don't think that's necessary. Just set it up with fresh paper and have everything ready and temps dialed in before you move him. You'll find that whatever method you use to heat your T8 it will take a little time to get temps rigjt
