    It hurts...
So for mother's day, I gave my wife a "voucher" to get a new pet tortoise. Well, it has turned into her getting a breeding pair, and we're going to be getting a set of western hermani or egyptians... both of which will run us a little over a grand. I keep opening morph market, and it hurts so much, because I shouldn't be on it until after I get these torts. sigh. I shouldn't be on it anyway, because I am saving for the shows coming up in June and July. Someone want to donate a female torching enchi clownaboo to me? By the way, I came up with that name first.

I know the feeling about tortoises as I have three. Be warned it takes a fair few years to be able to determine gender. I am only confident of the gender of my adult male spur thigh, the younger two despite having them for 4 years are still too young to accurately get the gender. I would recommend keeping them at a ratio of 1 male to two females as that is less likely to stress the females. There are exceptions such as with plowshare tortoises where you need two males since they don't get exited enough to mate unless they fight.
