    regulators and UTH
So i was told i needed a regulator for my heat mat so my snake doesn't get burn. I have been keeping snakes for years without one. Do the "regulators" actually control the temperature of the heat mat or is the regulator just to tell you how warm the "hot" side of a snakes tank is?? Any help would be appreciated! thanks!

A thermometer measures temperature so you know how warm or cool your snake is.
