I chickened out :(

This is sort of funny but last night I fed my ball python 2 mice but my original plan was doing the train method which means I stuffed the second one right down its throat but I chickened out. (Was gonna do a mouse and a rat since I want him to switch off but I thought i needed some practice so i picked 2 mice, the size and everything it just easier)

Reason being I was kind scared the snake wont be able to take on the weight or the force I was gonna exert on it and cause it to vomit the first mouse out.

And just overall scared , I mean I had the perfect position he acted like he knew I was gonna do that, he was just swallowing that thing it front of me like up front, I was so close to put in it like 1 inch away but I didn't.

So then I had to offer the second mouse and he took it down but both times he didn't strike at where it supposed to like on the head, he got it on the side so its gonna take him a lot of effort to reposition.

anyway so right after he took down the second one, he just let it go, I saw he was fixing his teeth ligament. but i was hoping he would continue to eat. but he didn't he just stopped. The next morning I woke up and the mouse is still there.

But i think I'm just gonna try it again tho. :(

You don't stuff/force the second feeder into the snake. You just sneak it's head into the snake's mouth as the first feeder is disappearing and the snake's "chewing" action should cause it to grab and swallow the second feeder.

I have been using the train method on two of my snakes. They won't take f/t rats on their own, so I give them a live mouse followed by an f/t rat. It doesn't take any force. Just gently insert the nose of the second mouse in the snakes mouth when he gets passed the hips of the first mouse. They are so involved in the swallowing process that they won't even shy away.

Is he saying he left the second mouse in the cage by its self with the snake ? that could end up going the other way espcially if he just ate .. but glade it didnt ugh (lucky):confusd:
