    Bp burrowing?
My youngest/smallest bp recently started escaping his tank, I had no short term option but to move him to a 15qt clasp tub (hes about 10 months 270 grams or so). The tub has some adpen at the bottom and his water bowl as not much else would fit well.

Lately he's been burrowing under the aspen, sometimes hides completely under it sometimes just half his body sometimes doesn't hide at all. I live in Puerto Rico so I dont have any heat mats (tried one for a while just in case but he completely regused to be near it) and I wonder if its temp related or he just wants a place to hide. Tub is in a corner in my bedroom not much foot traffic at room temp and humidity which is honsetly pretty much the same as in their natural habitat unless I were to have an AC in which case I'd mist and have a heat pad and all that.

TL;DR: Slightly worried about BP burrowing in aspen, want to either confrim that its no big deal or fix whatever might be wrong if anything.

Some balls just like to borrow! I give Serket an extra deep aspen bed when ever I change her substrate because the first thing she does is get to making tunnels.

My wife is from Puerto Rico and she grew up without ac in the house. I live in Florida and can't imagine not having it. So, yes, your ambient temp is probably pretty warm most of the year.

That being said, my BPs only burrow when I have taken their hides out for cleaning. Do you have a hide on each side of the tub?

No, the hide he had in the tank doesn't fit in the tub so its probably that. Ill give him more aspen to hide in while I can get a secure way to hold the lid onto his tank

Yep, you need a hide for each side.

My guess is he's hiding. Some BPs do like to burrow as well, but without a hide my guess is hiding. Or maybe both?
