    Naming my male blood
Hi all, im trying to come up with a good name for my new blood python. Me and my girlfriend have been tossing names out there and trying to find one thats a good fit. A little bit of back ground for the choices:
Spot; its typically a dogs name and he has a couple of spots
Rambo; He's my "first blood" (in reference to the movie Rambo: First Blood) and like the main character John Rambo, he likes to be left alone
Bili (sounds like Billy); short for bilirubin which is a brown/yellow liquid (same color as him now) produced when liver breaks down red blood cells (he's a blood python)

I would go with Rambo! That is sooo clever! LOL! Or, you could even call him Johnny since that was Rambo's first name in the movie. Or, "Sly" since that's Stallone's nickname?

I like Rambo or Sly as well.

I prefer Rubin over Bili, because it doesn't sound so common.

I was told he was around a year old, he's pretty small and i can tell he was being fed conservatively. I just weighed him @ 244 grams. The guy i got him from is the biggest reptile breeder around (for about 100 miles), he had bought this guy from VPI and ended up not pursuing the breeding project after all. I would guess that he is het for something in this case, but i dont really have an interest in breeding, i think he's awesome. Im hoping he'll take his first meal with me tomorrow, well see.

Heres some picture to try and show his size:

He looks great, Dxw! He looks perfectly healthy. I wouldn't say he looks underweight at all. My Sumatrans are 2016's, so they will probably be turning a year old sometime between now and September as well. The male weighs 247 grams and the female weighs 270 grams. So, I would say your guy is doing just fine. :) I haven't weighed my 2015 Matrix girl yet, but she is huge. Judging by her size, I would say Bloods and Short Tails must grow a massive amount in their second year. It's my understanding that Bloods grow mostly in length during their first year and not girth so much. I'll weigh my Matrix girl today and let you know what her weight is. It will be interesting to get an idea how much our 2016's will grow over the next year! :)

Did you decide on a name yet?
