Champagne Patterns

I have been looking at champagnes recently and have noticed how wildly different individuals are. Some are very clean with practically no pattern, or only have the dorsal stripe, while others have these wild dark patches and crazy spots on them. What I'm interested to find out is whether these patterns are genetic or not. Will a high pattern champagne produce only or mostly high patterned offspring, or is it random? Obviously some genes will affect the pattern, but I'm referring to strictly the champagne gene at play.

i don't think it's genetic, i think it's random. it's just normal variation within the morph. some have dorsal stripes, some have the champagne bubbles, some are cleaner that others. or at least no breeder has line bred enough Champagnes to prove something genetic. except for the Mike Wilbanks and his Pumpkin Champagne line. And Dave Green and his ringer line. ok i take that back. i dunno what i'm taking about lol.

Pattern on champagne is like white on pied as far as i understand. completley random unless you toss other genes into it to help control the patterning you can get anything.

I'm actually looking into the same thing tonight Here are the champagnes that came out of a Champagne Het Albino x Het Albino pairing. I never noticed the wide variation before.
