So....Savitar (Spoilers)

I am kind of disappointed that it ended up being Barry. The clues were there but there's still some inconsistencies with what they laid down earlier in the season. Like the image of the back of Savitar holding the Philosopher's Stone and he's clearly jacked. Barry is not jacked. It also now gives Dr Who a run for his money on time travel contradictions. I hope they give a good explainer for this one.

I completely agree. I would like to know what alternate time line he is from or did barry going to the future and convincing himself to become the flash again send that barry down the path to become savitar. on the other hand why would barry kill iris if he loves her. does he like being savitar and this insures that's who he will become? Will defeating him before killing iris erase his origin and render the speed force trap moot?

The writers really haven't had a clue what they're doing since the first season. Can we get Kevin Smith back on this? Maybe he can save it. Maybe.

Maybe he's from a timeline where he never ended up with her.

So it's a time remnant? OK, I can buy that. But I don't get how he remembers what current Barry does. I guess the whole "when you time travel a lot the rules don't apply" is in effect here. A bit lazy I think. But LOT tomorrow did that with Reverse Flash who should have no memory of working with Cisco and Caitlin since he is from before that time but talks about his time at Starlabs like he was there. Still a fun show though even if it doesn't make any sense at times.
