Pairing without eating for how long?
I'm wondering, how long is it safe to keep pairing a male that's not eating if he's not losing weight? My CG hasn't eaten in about 4 months and after emptying his bowels fully, he quit losing weight and has been holding steadily at about 815g. I havnt been pairing him often. Only once per month for a couple days and he gets locks every time, the last lock was somewhere about 8 hours. So is it safe to keep pairing him while his weight holds if he holds off on eating?
The female I've been pairing him with since November/December still isn't showing definite signs of follicle production yet. So I'd like to keep pairing if possible. And in that time she's went from a little over 1200g to about 1700g. And is absolutely voracious, still wanting more after eating a weekly 100g rat, though a 150g one settles her for a couple days.
Thanks,
Kyle

Re: Pairing without eating for how long?
Thank, I'll see if I can get him to eat before I pair again. I'm guessing it could still take a little while. His condition is holding well. He did just shed a day ago so I need to weight him and see how much mass he lost from that. It's almost odd that they will still shed without eating. And he hasn't eaten since the last time he shed. I'm hoping this will jumpstart him into feeding again.
