Where to put thermostat probe
Hello, right now I have my thermostat probe inside my ball pythons hide on top of the heating pad but I am constantly having to move the prob back into place under the substrate because when he goes in his hide my moves it. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? People say you should have the probe on the outside of the cage directly on the heat source but I don't see how this would work because the heating pad is sticked directly on the glass so does the back of it get as hot as the front of it where it is on the glass?
Thanks

Is that safe to use in the enclosure?

I run two probes. 1 goes to the uth on the outside that is connected to the thermostat to control pad temperature and the other is inside under the substrate to see what the temperature is on the inside.

If I had it this way I would have to remove my heating pad from the glass put my probe there then restick it to the glass but if I did that it probably wouldn't stick properly again. Does the non-stick side of the heating pad get as hot as the sticky side?
