    Egg incubator advice
Hello i am making my own Egg incubator out off a fridge and im going add to heat tape all around the back and i will have a good thermostat as well but i am not sure if a fan is needed and i would prefer not to have one but if it is really needed i guess i will have to make due it is just that i am terrible at diy. I even made a self assembled desk once and it collapsed and injured my foot.

If your unit is taller than it is wide you probably need a fan.

I would definitely put a fan to make sure you have no hotspots in the enclosure.

Depends on the size of the fridge, for a small fridge I would not bother, I have experience with fan and without and depending on the size of the incubator a fan is not always needed.
