    I've had no problem with them, I use the ones from bath & body works.

    For what it's worth, a while back I sprinkled some Shake & Vac powder on the carpet near a couple of vivs and the Blizzard Corn snake immediately started to thrash about in the viv until is vacuumed it all away ...

    I would take into consideration how close the plug in will be to your vivs, keep an eye on how they act and if they are doing anything abnormal like Zincubus noted. Also, what mask are you trying to smell? If your vivs smell then it's time to do a thorough cleaning of all the tubs.
