Keeping Live Hopper Mice

Hello fellow ball python enthusiasts, I am a fairly new proud owner of my ball python. I feed Cletus live hopper mice, I was wondering if I can keep around 5 live hopper mice in a separate tank? Will they grow to large or do they typically maintain the same size? This is my first post on this forum hope some of you can give me some clarity!

They grow larger fast, within 2 weeks they'll be adults. So if hoppers are just barely fit for your baby BP right now, I wouldn't keep them just yet.

Hoppers are not weaned from their mother so it will be difficult to maintain them without their mother.

They may eat a bit of solid food but might fail to drink water on their own.

Offer a swallow water dish and some dog food and you will see.

3 weeks is the age you are looking at as far as being weaned and eating and drinking own their own.

I am curious how big is you BP, hatchling straight out of the egg will take hoppers and they usually quickly move to a bigger size.

I have a BP that was hatched on 12/9/16, and he is still on hoppers. He is right around 100g. But he seems to be growing slower than most lol.

It should not be on hoppers at 100 grams, but on small adult mice.

Again hopper are for animals out of the egg about half the size of your BP

Thanks for the feedback guys, honestly I'm not quite sure how old my ball python is, I got him about 3-4 weeks ago. I would make an estimated guess and say that he or possibley she is 1.5-2ft long if that helps. I can get an actual measurement tomorrow

The frozen mice that I am buying that are labeled as hoppers are 10-13g. My snake is 100g. I've seen that you should feed 10% of the snakes body weight. Am I wrong? The next size up that petco sells is adult mice, and they are around 20g.
