Can a Red tailed Boa have constipation ?
The poop of My 11 months old male Red tailed Boa was weird this time. It was in the shape and the size of a chicken egg, hard and rolled up like a chicken egg. It did not smell like a poop. At first, i thought it might be soil. I had to catch it and smell it closely. When i took him out of his cage, i was able to feel something inside his body at the area where he usually poops that is in the shape and size of a chicken egg and as hard as such. In addition to that, i saw him 3 times in the last 36 hours drinking which is unusual for him to drink that frequent. Could he be having constipation? If yes, should i take him to the vet or he will get over that alone? His size is bigger than his age 3,8 feet long.

And if you feel a lump down by his vent, then i would say yes, he's constipated.
Soak him for about 30 mins in a barely warm to the touch tub of water and gently massage the spot and see if he poops. But the bottom line is you need to get his humidity up if it isnt. Curing the problem is one thing but you need to find the cause of it so it doesnt come back.
And it was the size of a chicken egg from an 11 month old??!!! I find that a bit of an exaggeration as the width of the large rats my 6.5' girl eats are about as big as a chicken egg. My one year old salmon boy is maybe a little thicker than an adult mouse.
The humidity is 65%-70% and when he is shedding it goes to 70%-75% up. He sheds in one piece without problems. He has a cool side and a warm side. At the warm side i use heat cable and cover it with tiles. so he just set on the tiles when he needs warmth. The tiles will be 86 degrees hot. He does not set over it all the day, only a few hours when he needs warmth.
This time he just pooped, he did not urate. The poop was as i have descriped it, and brown black. And Yes the size of a chicken egg, a "small" chicken egg.

He just pooped alone. I did not have to soak him in water. He just did it alone. I took a picture of him and the poop. You can see the size and the shape of it
