Older Central American Locality Boas
Hi everyone, first post on here so bare with me. I have a question regarding typical sizes everyone is seeing from their older Central American boas. Are the dwarfs staying dwarfish? What's the upper end of true central American localities you guys are seeing in your collections? How about the dwarfs? How much does everyone think feeding plays into it or is a big snake just going to get big after so many years. How much bigger are you seeing non breeders getting over your breeders? Or does this not play a role in your opinion?
Re: Older Central American Locality Boas
Not sure how old you mean by "older" but my adult Tarahumara females are well under 5' and the male is under 4' and fits nicely in a 34-qt tub in a rack. I also have a hypo CA adult female that is about 5'.
