Need advice on temps/cold side too cool?
Hey guys, im trying to get my enclosure at the proper temps and humidity. So far it's going pretty well. I have two hygrometers, 3 thermometers and an infared laser thermometer. I'm using a UTH on a thermostat and a 100 watt CHE on the hot side. I'm using cypress mulch as a substrate in a 42 gallon (only 15" tall, mostly floor space)

The ambient temps are 79 during the day and 76 at night with an ambient humidity of 55%. The hot hide is 84 with the glass above the uth being 92 and humidity at 60%.

The cold side is posing a bit of a problem for me. The cold hide is reaching as low as 70 during the night and only getting to 74-75 throughout the day. A UTH won't do much for it and a CHE will probably make things too hot no matter the wattage.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Could you slide your CHE over towards the middle?

You could grab another CHE and a dimmer for the cold side as well.

I have a similar setup, try sliding your CHE over to the far side away from the UTH. This should help balance things out and get your ambient temps good to go.
