    I've got eggs.. I'm excited
I noticed 2 eggs in my juveniles tank a few days ago. I didn't think they were old enough to breed. I have two adult pair set up with nest boxes and have been waiting for them to drop eggs. So after seeing the eggs in with the juveniles I checked the adults and found that one female is ready any day now and the other had dug up her nest box and has layed her eggs. I put them in the incubator at 85 degrees.

When should I start watching for them to hatch ?

I got up this morning and found that another female in the juveniles tank had also given me eggs.

congrats on the eggs incubation time at 85 degrees should be about 55 days

lower temps (80 to 85)will yield more females but inrease incubation time
higher temps (85 to 90) will yield more males and decrease incubation time
    85 degrees should give a 50/50 mix

within 72 hours you will be able to candle the eggs
hold a small flashlight to them and you will see the embryo
( a small red dot ) attach to the side/top of the egg
to see if they are fertile
    good luck Kirk

Thanks everyone. I candled them and I have good fertile eggs. I still have 2 females that I can see eggs in but they haven't laid them yet. They are however starting to dig in their nest boxes. So i hope for them to lay very soon. I can't wait to have babies.
