    Cold fish
I rent out rooms in my home and recently someone moved out and left me 2 snakes a corn and a cinnamon ball I didn't know anything about snakes however both snakes seem to prefer the cold side rather than the hot side is it possible that the guy that had them before me did not take very good care of them and they became used to cooler temperatures the corn snake always seem to want to get out well when he had them they never acted that way the corn snake got away and now I have the cinnamon ball he spends most of his time on the cool side even when the temperature is down to 75 is this healthy or do I need to worry I never thought about having a pet snake but he's growing on me I love all God's Critters and I don't want to hurt him I'd rather get rid of him first to someone who knows what they're doing please help this neophyte

What are the temperatures for the warm sides? What does the set up look like? Do they have hides on both sides? How are you measuring temperature? The more information we have on your set up the easier time we will have helping you.
And good for you trying to take care of this snake. :)

    What type of enclosure?
    How is the enclosure heated?
How are you regulating the temps?
How are you measuring temps? and humidity?
Is there a warm side and cool side hide?

And just so we're clear, the corn escaped and is missing? (That big, long, single-sentence paragraph is hard to understand)

    This ^^^^^.

As you check the basics of the enclosure and what you have already, does he also have a water bowl and fresh water. Have you fed him before? Is the enclosure secure so he can't get out?
