Tub Ambient Temps Too Low
I have my ball python in a 41qt tub and no matter what I do, I can't get the ambient temps high enough. They sit around 70F which I know is way too low. I currently have heat tape on the bottom of the tub on one side and I've cut out a hole on the warm side and put hardware cloth with a CHE. This keeps the warm side warm enough and the cool side temp on the bottom of the tub is warm enough, but even with the CHE there's absolutely not high enough ambient temps, especially on the cool side. I tried to use a space heater I have but once my thermosat kicks it off, it won't kick on because a button has to be pressed. I've tried insulating with some foam board, just not sure what to do without spending a whole lot of time/effort/money to get things fixed ASAP.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Christian
Re: Tub Ambient Temps Too Low
Ya that's how I have it now and it's like 68. I don't have a separate room to put it in or anything unfortunately and can't crank the heat in the house up either.
