    Whistling noise
    Hi everyone,

My pastel ball python is a year and a half weighing 682grams.

He had a bad shed and I bathed him and got it all off.

I changed his bedding and viv (from aspen to lignocel and from 2.5 ft to 4ft).

Since these changes I have noticed him whistling like a human would with a blocked nose.

I took him to the vet on Saturday and they said there are no signs of RI.

Any ideas what it could be as he is still doing it.

    Thanks

My ball python of about 130grams started whistling during his 6min bath so I took him out. He was fine after a few minutes. Maybe they got some water in their nose?

If you get an answer to this please share with me. My son's BP has been making a puffing noise. Vet said all clear, gave him a shot and the next week a vitamin shot. HE WON"T EAT and my son is convinced he is sick. Reading here I am hoping maybe this is an spring things due to mating season. I have no idea.

Could be stuck shed in his nostrils.

He had his last shed about 3-4weeks ago but he only started doing it a few days ago

It is possible it is getting ready to shed again. You will on occasion hear things before the shed.

You guys really should try to find the root cause of the shedding issues and stop bathing your animals. I have never had to give any of mine a bath.

JodanOrNoDan is right! But usually if you have constant stuck sheds it's a humidity problem! Check your humidity levels! If you have your ball python in an aquarium then it's much harder to keep your humidity levels up! Try adding a big bowl filled with water in your enclosure! You can also try misting the hide as well! Good luck to you guys!
