    everyone ate!!!
so i've been having an ambient temp issue as of late, but tonight everyone ate!!! i had stopped heating the whole room about a month ago, but apparently my supplement ambient temp sources were not enough for my pythons. after heating the room again, tonight they told me they were much happier and all three ate.

however i have a question: can i solve their ambient temps with CHE/RHP or am i stuck heating a room? i have both set - CHE on a rheostat which i don't like - but my python babies have let me know CHE/RHP is not enough.

any advice or input is much appreciated. thanks!!!

Both ambient room heating and enclosure heating will work. You need to experiment to find out what works in your environment. All that matters is that the enclosure has an appropriate temp. This can be achieved either way. I use room heating, but I have a dedicated snake room and live in south Florida where heating is only an issue about 3-4 months a year. The key to successful enclosure only heating is to have an adequate heat source for the enclosure size. Perhaps your wattage is just not sufficient. Countless keepers successfully utilize enclosure heating and you can too.

My favorite place in my house is my snake room. Never below 84. The perfect place to get up to operating temperature in the morning with a cup of coffee. The key word in tropical paradise is of course paradise. LOL
