Underweight or Just Small or Misguided?

My male Pinstripe BP is currently 579g. He was hatched some time in late August of 2015 and I acquired him in the very beginning of 2016. Sid is not skinny by any means. I unfortunately am having to sell Sid and was told that he is too small to be his approximate age. He is fed weaned rats usually every 7-10 days. Here are some pictures for body condition analysis.

Just small. They grow at their own rate - his body condition looks fine and he's definitely not underweight

my 2014 male has been hovering around 600g for around 6mo. i get really paranoid that i'm treating him poorly when i read how big other males are, but they are all individuals. my guy is in great condition (despite a current fast possibly due to my own error) and although i sometimes question my care, i know he's doing well every time i see him.

He looks fine to me. Males tend to slow way down before females. I say tend to because my Riddle is a piggle and he's getting huge.

My male was hatched around same time as yours.. his weight isnt much different than your bp.. Sid is beautiful.. so dnt let anyone tell U otherwise...

He could be larger by that age, they grow depending on how much they eat and a weaned rat is pretty small for his size, but that by no means he's 'under weight'. He looks perfectly healthy so that's what matters. Some people like to feed more than they need and this increases growth but if anything, quicker growth isn't necessarily healthy. If you were feeding him a small rat every 7 days, yes, he would probably be bigger. Health wise, he is fine, slow growth is not a bad thing.
