    Proper lighting
So I've been doing a bit of research on lighting for my bearded dragon and I'm looking at this Zoo Med PowerSun UV Mercury Vapor Lamp 100 Watts, I heard that this light gave UV-B light as well as heat and that's why I'm currently interested in this light. During my research I found out that I was in need of a UV-B light to cover the length of the terrarium and I was wondering if this is still needed even though I'm going to use a light that gives off UV-B already or if it's sufficient as is.

Yes.. U need UV the length of the cage. There is a reason caresheets have told you this on your research... granted dragons do bask..however, once warm enough they wont be under that uv spot light. Dragons need lots of uv to be healthy.

Uv is neccessary bc it makes it possible for thm to use calcium efficiently.

You shld also be changing your UV bulbs out every 6 months like clock work, not waiting for thm to quit working. The UV lighting degrades and gives off less UV over time of use. Therefor, can be pretty useless if not changed regularly.
