BP Not the one I needed. Seller sexed incorrectly.
Recently i bought a 1.5 year old butter male from a friend to my BEL project. He got this snake from abroad, on the paper was mentioned it is male. Now turned out that it is a female, cause it layed eggs. All 4 eggs were bad cause it is not in weight yet for breeding, with eggs was 1266gr. Cause of this, my 1st project of this year I wanted to start with is ruined. :(
I`m replanning my projects, will get another snake. Just my rack is 110% full already. :D
What would you do in this situation? Is it worth at all to tell the seller you were wrong... ?

If you have paperwork etc I would definitely contact the breeder/seller and see if they can rectify the situation for you x

Thanks for the hint. I thought the same. I will keep it. The other one is around 1400gr. I have lesser gene in my collection, an enchi-lesser-pastel. That will be bred to a normal to get one gene animals.
I considered to get her a mojave male.

It's between YOU and your FRIEND, YOUR friend sold YOU an animal that was not properly sexed, so you take it up to your friend and than it's up to him to take it up with the original breeder.
Now while an animal that is not properly sexed can put a dent in your project short term, long term a female butter is more valuable than a male butter, she will produce eggs you will make your money back and she will sell for a higher price than a proven male.
And that is why you sex a snake immediately upon arrival.
