    setup, herpstat, advise
Hello, just picked up these 2 AP cages. I received this herpstat II with it. When I go to site, the one on there is different. this only has 2 buttons. Does anyone know have directions for this one? Currently I am running the 2 ceramic heaters which are steady keeping the one side 90 right under the element, and its 80 on the other side of the cage. The Herpstat is just a expensive thermostat at this point. I would like to use the herpstat to run the heaters. Also has anyone heated these cages with just flexwatt? I reallly want to stack them.

Looks like an older model of the herpstat. I'd send dion at spyder robotics an email asking about it and he can probably help you out with that.
As for flexwatt and stacking the cages, yes and yes. Flexwatt works great with AP cages and they're designed to be stacked. There's should be holes at the front of the cage tops to use pins to keep them aligned when stacked. If your room is warm enough, you could probably use just flexwatt and cover the cutouts for your lamps and be able to keep humidity in the enclosures better as well.
