How long did you guys wait after putting the sealant in your cage before actually putting the snake into it.

If everything goes as planned - I should have 6-7 day window between applying the sealant and actually needing to put my snake in the cage.

Do you think that will be adequate time to cure up the sealant and dissipate the smell??

after I sealed mine, I waited about 3 days I think... left the top off for 1 day then put the top on and just kept smelling it everyday until it was gone.

for mine: it was probably cured by day 4 but i waited until day 7 to put yellow in. you'll have enough time, but like norcal said above just trust your nose.

Yes, they provide a silicone sealant to seal the bottom edges and up the sides a bit to keep all urine from leaking out.

It comes with a tube of Lexel. Pretty good stuff imo, better than silicone but takes longer to cure. It depends on temps, humidity and how much you put. I learned from my T10s that the stuff goes a long ways. On my T8s, before I put the top on, I applied a very small bead of it and smoothed it out with a wet gloves finger. Then I put the top on and stacked them as it was 3 cages I ordered this run.

Took about 4 days for it to dry. Just stuff your head in there and sniff. If you don't smell any, touch the seams and if it isn't tacky to your finger, then you are ready.

Now with my T10s I put a hefty bead on those cages and my god, it took forever and a day to cure and the whole room smelled like Lexel. I had to run a box fan in the room lol. So again, a little goes a long way with that stuff.

To give you an idea, I used almost 2 tubes for 3 T10s. For my 3 T8s which have the same floor space, I used probably around 2/3 of a single tube.

And also don't forget to go up the corners a little where the front meets the sides and the sides meet the back. I usually go up about 3 inches.

Well, im buying 3 t10s so i hope it comes with enough lol and that its not too hard to assemble. Also, do you people know if i can fit two male bp in a divided t10? Its just an idea (and an excuse to get a little coral glow boy lol)

They are easy to build. I just built my 3rd one. Less than an hour time spent.

Like mentioned, they are pretty much a no brainer to build especially the T10s. And since you ordered 3, it will come with 2 tubes of Lexel. When I talked to Ali, she said they ship 1 tube of Lexel per 2 cages. And trust me, you can do 3 T10s with 1 tube at the most unless you go crazy like I did with my T10s. My advice is don't. Use a thin bead and push it smooth with a latex glove on that the finger is wet. It will make a nice seam and wont smell up the whole area and take 2 weeks to cure lol.

As for splitting a T10, I guess you could but I know my 3.5 year old female loves all the space in her T8. And I ordered shelves in all my cages since the snakes do seem to like to play on them here and there or stretch out on them like in the Caesar progression thread I got going.

Oh of course i would give my female one for her, im going to buy a male red tail boa for the other one, and for the last cage i have a male, so i was thinking of putting another male in there
