    Craft Store Plants
Today I got some craft store flowers to put in my terrarium. I ran them under hot water, but the water coming off was orange/brown. I continued and after about 30 seconds the water ran clear. If I rinse them again, and maybe use some reptile safe organic cleaner (Flukers) will it be safe for my future ball pythons terrarium?

As long as they don't have metal wiring in them that is poking out or can potentially be exposed, you should be fine. I only use craft store plants for my snakes, as they're cheaper than the pet store stuff. You just don't want metal wiring or sharp edges as the snake can get its scales snagged and cut on them.

I also remember someone here mentioned do not get the "chain style" vines as their snake got stuck in the plastic "chain" that holds it together.
