    Sexing?
So this is Artemis - my first snake - and I love him to bits. But I have always just assumed him to be a he because of his level of arrogance and calling an animal an 'it' seems a bit cold[emoji28] [emoji4]

So they say one can tell by the tail's tapering - but honestly they look the same to me[emoji23] [emoji23] so any opinions and guidance will be appreciated[emoji120] [emoji120]

I added the shed in hopes it'd give a better idea of his overall size and 'shape' since I couldn't get him pinned down for a proper tail picture [emoji23] [emoji4] [emoji23]

This is what I used to get an assumption. Not sure its 100% accurate. You might have to get him probed. Ive seen people sex venomous snakes just visually because they dont want to probe the animal and risk a bite, even tho it can be done safely. Female corns will also be larger than the males.

popping or probing by someone with experience that can teach you would be the best way to learn how to sex an animal.

Based on the pictures I'm thinking that Artemis is nudging more to the female side of things[emoji54] the tail tapers quite quickly, no? But I think I'll have him(or her) probed like you suggested. Thank you for your help[emoji144] [emoji120]

I think that will be the best way for me to learn. And I'll be able to apply it to more than one snake species so it'll be a lot more convenient[emoji4] thank you[emoji4] [emoji1]
