    Concrete sealant and waterproofing?
    So I've been looking around at different sealants used for making your own hides and backing shelves. I've been hearing a lot of good things about cement sealant and I'm thinking of getting this;

    Does this seem safe to you guys? From what I understand I should be looking for a sealant that is Non-toxic, waterproof, water based and low VOC.

    I believe this is meeting all the requirements? Is this okay for me to use?

    Other sealants I'm considering are:

    • Water based polyurethane
    • Krylon Matte Finish waterproofing spray
    • Water Based Polycrylic Satin Sealer

    Are all of these waterproof? How durable are they and how long do they last? As a note, I'm not interesting in using aquarium safe silicone due to the rubber-like finish. I see that more as a bonding agent and less of a finishing coat.

    Edit: Another brand I was looking at is this:

    According to these specs this seems like a good choice too? I just wish is wasn't so expensive :(

    What do you think everyone? Am I on the right track to finding safe and effective sealants?
