    Been loitering for a bit
New here, my Fiance and I went to our repticon on the 17th and found our beautiful baby ball python.

I remember yellow belly, there was something infront though, Pastel??. Because of her inquisitive attitude, we named her Dora.

    Here is our Dora https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ebfbbecf64.jpg

Currently she is in a 10 gallon aquarium, with more substrate than the pics. I have in the planning stages a bio active enclosure for her once she is a little older.

Congrats on the new snake. If you haven't already, take a look at the caresheet and other sticky threads on here.

    That's a beautiful Royal :)

Probably worth adding a second hide in the cooler side ( I'm presuming the heat mat is at one end of the Viv under the hide )

If you haven't got one , I'd suggest a thermostat as a mature of urgency - there is an affordable one called a Microclimate MiniStat .
Have you any ideas what the temps over the heat mat ?
What are you using to check the temps ?

The temps in the hide range from mid 80s to 94 / 95. Im using a trusty (i have a bearded dragon that i monitor basking temps on occasion) zoomed digital probe, not shown in that pic.

I have added a clay pot that she coiled behind and crawls over at times on the cool side too
