BP not eating and losing weight
So my sub-adult enchi female refuses to eat. I even tried an African soft-fur. I had her in a 41qt tub in the beginning (about a month and a half ago) then switched a month ago to an 18qt tub (Iris tub). She has a hot hide, temps are mid to high 80s. Original tub had belly heat, smaller one has back heat. Using reptichip coco husk. I've been trying to feed this guy once a week. She isn't in shed. I'm going crazy trying to think what to do. Her original weight was 780gm and now she is 710gm. Any tips?

Be patient if everything is on spot that is all you can do, I have had females smaller than that go of feed for 7/8 months, it's a BP and this is what they do sometime even when provided with optimum husbandry.

As for the weight loss, most people will weigh their animal on full and than on empty which is very inaccurate so that probably explain the eight loss.

Switching prey type is rarely the answer, except for owners who become frustrated, the problem is it's risky and you may be stuck with whatever the new food is, I don't recommend it, she was eating before she will again.

Is mid-high 80's the hot side or ambient? If ambient that's too high.
