How to tame/calm skittish bp

Hey everyone I recently got a banana hes about a year and a half old. Ive very quickly noticed he's extremely shy and skittish. I've read handling often or placing them in a safe contained area where they are with you to get them used to it but I dont want to stress him out too much just for the sake of taming.

Id love to be able to have him around people in a few years to do educational projects and the like, not sure how Im gonna get there but thats one of my goals, and this is the reason I'd like this lil beauty to be a bit more calm.

The necessary first step is to have an enclosure that you're snake feels comfortable in. There are great stickies on here which will help you get husbandry perfected. Once that is done, make sure the snake has had ample time to settle in with minimal attempts at handling.

Once the animal is showing content behavior (hiding and feeding normally) then attempt handling. When you handle him, support his body, but try and stay still and let him decide when and where to explore. Keep the handling to 2-3 times a week and less than 10 min at a time until he starts to build trust.
