Should I be worried or is this just dirt?
So since about a week-ish ago, my BP has had a dirty spot on his nose. I'm just wondering if this is something that looks like rot or an infection, or he just shoved his nose in the dirt I put in a couple spots in his tank (which he has done before) and it just was damp and got stuck. If it is, what's a good, safe way to wipe it off? Even just to make sure it isn't dangerous, I should probably try to see if it wipes off. He's pretty headshy, but it doesnt come off when he just dips his head into the water. He's in shed right now, so he's also probably uncomfortable to start with. Below is a picture from two days before I noticed where his nose is clean, then the dirty spot I noticed after.

This one is tougher to see, it's from today in his humid hide but the dirt is visible

It's probably just dirt. It will come off during shed or just come off itself some other way. Can I ask though why you were Soaking your snake yesterday if he is in shed? Soaking prior to a shed will remove the oils naturally secreted by the snake that helps him shed. Soaking should be a last resort option for sheds that got stuck on AFTER he tried to shed himself. Also, IF a soak is needed you want the water to be only as high as a quarter of his body height (as he is laying flat). Not trying to get down on you, just giving you some advice.

I always appreciate some advice. I'll hold out until he's done and see if the dirt comes off. I was hoping it'd help with the dirt and I've been a tad concerned because I never found a poop from his last meal, so I did a brief lukewarm soak. I'll keep that in mind for next time though for sure, he went blue and cleared up, so now we wait. Hopefully the bath won't delay him much.

They will often go to the bathroom when they shed. Sometimes I won't see my snakes have any waste except pee or urates after a few feedings

I wouldn't worry about him pooping between every meal, he will poop when he's ready. My snakes often won't poop for a meal or two, but it's always there when they shed.:gj:
