    Carpet pythons
All right. So, I have three ball pythons and I love them to death. Today, I was looking at carpet pythons... and I'm thinking they look like a lot of fun, too. A little longer, but about the same requirements. I've also been looking at blood pythons. I know they can be a bit nippy when they're young, but they are some awesome snakes, as well. Anyone wanna let me in on the caring differences between these three snakes (carpet, blood, ball) and give me an idea of what I should get myself into next?? :P

    Well it's up to you.

I own balls and carpets. (boy that statment looks funny :P)

Carpets can be a bit nippy, and I would never let one of them get near my face. My oldest ball python, I could put him around my neck as I clean tanks (without snakes in them, of course) if I wanted to, and I'd have no real concerns.

Carpet pythons are acutally a bit easier to take care than the balls, humidity wise. Carpet's stay slim, but they get a lot longer.

Bloods on the other hand, will get really really girthy and may exceed 40 lbs. I held a borneo short tail (aka black blood) and it was basically with both arms. They also can move suprising fast for such a big bodied snake.
