    Possible toxic substances.
I've been really worried about what comes in contact with my snake lately. I don't know what could potentially harm her. I always scrub my hands clean before handling her, I'm worried I have lotion or makeup on my hands so I'm always so cautious. But should I really be so paranoid? I don't know how fragile she could be and what is dangerous to have around snakes. I always change clothes too if I plan on handling her and I got some deodorant on my clothing or spilled a beverage. Is this just over reacting?

Yes you are over reacting. ;)

Things you need to be cautious with are essential oils, bleach, pesticide of all sort and anything you would be concern about if it was a dog or a cat.

Beverage, deodorant etc are fine, you do however as a good practice want to wash your hands before and after handling any type of reptiles.
