Heat control and live feed questions

Ok I'm trying to find a way to set up hands free heat control but I don't know what I need/ where to get it/ and cost(preferably cheap) what I have right now is a dual heat lamp (one day 100e and one red night 100w) on a 12 by 12 switch off timer and one UTH ( not in use because I can't control the temp) I have been reading about thermostats but the end goal is to have a set up where I can use UTH with different temp settings on both ends with a day/ night heat lamp to control the basking side and all of it on automatic temp control any advice on what I need or can do would be much help.

To control multiple heat sources you're going to either have to buy multiple single port thermostats or one that has multiple ports such as a herpstat or VE thermostat. They aren't necessarily "cheap" but they are definitely worth the money. Just depends on how much you decide proper equipment, which leads to proper safety, costs.

What is your question about love feeding exactly? Is the snake not eating?

You'd need two to run two UTH at different temps. The Herpstat 2 would be better (a single Herpstat 2 can run your two heat pads) - but it's $200. Maybe you can find one used.

As for feeding live - whatever you do, make sure you don't leave the snake and rodent unattended. A mouse or rat can harm and even kill your snake.

As far as live feed the key to success are

Pre-scent the room, this is done by leaving the feeder nearby the enclosure 1 hour prior to feeding to entice the snake, during that time provide water and food to the feeder (it's very important if your feeders are store bought as you want to make sure that they are well fed and well hydrated)

Feed an appropriately size feeder.

Do not stress the prey (no stunning, no restraining when offered.

Offer the prey in the enclosure, drop the prey on the cage floor.

Monitor feeding.

Remove the prey after 10 min if uneaten.

*Note on the Rat and mice can kill a snake, this would be an extreme case and the direct result of irresponsible live feeding leaving an hungry feeder unattended overnight or for days. This does not happen when live feeding is done responsibly, feeders will generally room around and then go fall asleep in a corner or groom themselves.

I have fed well over 20000/25000 live preys over the years (stopped counting a long time ago) and never had any issue.
