Is this a Hog Island Boa??

Is this a Hog Island Boa?
I bought her at 11 months 2 years ago, so now almost 3.
She is 6ft long.
She is a little skinny with some loose skin so now feeding her 2 medium rats every 2 weeks. I was feeding her 1 medium rat every 2 weeks.
Her mother (below) was just over 7ft and her father 5ft. I was shown mother and father at the breeders house when I bought her.

I ask as she is not quite 3 and already 6ft!? I thought Hog Islands were not supposed to be this big?

Has she finished growing?

Her mom is definitely a Hoggie.

She looks a little dark, but Hoggs can go through some dramatic color phases. I'd say she at least has Hogg in her, if not fully so.

Your boa is a locality integrade/cross. The mother is hog isle but a rather large one. I don't suppose you got a photo of the father? Hog Isles can get about 6' if heavily fed. Both of mine are 4', one is 16 yrs and my other is 9yrs.
One of the tell tale signs I look for in a hog isle is the stripe behind the eye. Notice on the mother how it dramatically swoops down to the jaw line? And on your boa it stays more straight and does the classic fade of a mainland boa?

I think 2 mediums every 2 weeks is too much and your original schedule was more ideal, in the photos your snake appears in fine body condition, possibly getting a bit too round in the last one. just my opinion though, please don't take it badly :oops:

Oops I missed this part. No, boas will continue to grow their entire lives. However they usually slow way down around 4-6 years old.

She is not thin, I'd put her back on a single prey item. She does not look 6', but if she is bump her up to a large rat and space it out every 4-6 weeks. If not, keeping her on a medium every 3-4 weeks is fine. Boas are not meant to be round, the shape you're seeing on her is a perfectly healthy, fit boa.

As far as Hog Island sizes, they are not a dwarf locality so they will get the same size as the average Colombian (5'-7' with the potential for 8'). I've heard some of the original wild caught imports were 8', and I know at least one breeder whose breeder females *average* 7'+ (yes they're all pure), so they don't have to be crossed to be large. That said, your's does not appear pure, just going off of visuals.

To me she looks like a cross between a Hogg Island and a BCI.

The mom is definitely a Hogg Island, but yours has characteristics of both. Therefor, might grow a little bigger, but won't be a "monster" ;)
