    Please help!
Please help, I just fed my ball python a live mice and when he started to swallow it i saw a blood, i'm not sure if it's the mouse blood or my ball python's.. but then he doesn't eat the second mice. Why doesn't he eat the second mice?
He usually eats 2 mice a week.
My ball python is 3 months old.
    Thank you.

The blood is probably from the mouse, have you tried feeding frozen/thawed? Feeding live could have its complications in the future. Safer and more convenient.

There's always the risk of the rodent injuring your snake. But if the live feed was done correctly, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Sometimes snakes can rupture the rodents internal organs causing blood to come out of the mouse.

Thank you, I haven't tried to give him frozen/thawed mice yet, it's quite hard to look for it here.
I hope it's the rodent's blood. But i'm not sure.

My guess is that you were seeing the mouse's blood. But to be safe, I would keep a close eye on your snake. Don't handle him, let him digest, but keep an eye on him. Also, I think you will find most people highly recommend switching to frozen/thawed, or fresh killed for the safety of the snake. If frozen are hard to get where you are located, maybe fresh killed might be a better option??

The snake's fine i guess, he go in and out of his hiding cave. I tried giving him the other mice twice in the last 20 minutes, he looks curious and approached to the mouse but he didn't strike it.
I will try to find frozen or fresh killed mouse here thanks, or can I kill the mouse myself? What is the best way to do it?

Yes, you can kill the mouse yourself. I know some members have built CO2 chambers, but I know nothing about this. Maybe search the forum for some info. Maybe start another thread asking for advice on pre-killing?
    Good luck :)

I would use CO2 to gas them, they pretty much just fall asleep. This is the setup I use, I just turn the gas on for about 20 seconds and wait two minutes, then feed to the snake. It's quick and easy.
